FRENCH CREEK OUTFITTERS ORDERING, SHIPPING, RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
Thank you for your order - we greatly appreciate your business! French Creek Outfitters is committed to your satisfaction with any product you purchase from our website or store. In most cases, if there are any issues with your purchase, we will, at your option, exchange or replace the item, or refund your money. Simply complete the RETURN FORM portion of the Packing List/Invoice in your package, and ship it back to us, or you may return your item (s) to our store.
SHIPPING POLICY/ORDER PROCESSING:
Most orders will ship from our Phoenixville, PA address. Occasionally, we may have your order drop shipped directly to you from one of our suppliers. Currently, French Creek Outfitters can only ship to addresses in the US and Canada. A physical “ShipTo” address is required by UPS - they cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Expedited shipping is available on the “Checkout” page of our web store. If you only have a PO box address, we will ship by US Postal Service. Packages will ship within 24 business hours of receiving your order, Monday through Friday. Whenever possible, we will ship on the same business day. You can track your order and shipping status by going to UPS’s website. Your tracking number will be emailed to you with your order confirmation. Canoes and kayaks cannot be shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or Canada at this time.
Certain oversized items such as canoes and kayaks will be shipped via common carrier truck line (Pilot Freight Services). When you receive your delivery, please visually inspect the condition of your purchase before signing the driver’s bill of lading. If any damage exists, please contact French Creek Outfitters at 610-933-7200 while the driver is still present.
Items such as liquid or compressed fuel for backpacking stoves and lanterns, or safety flares will incur a $20 HAZMAT shipping fee. This charge will be added to your order at checkout.
Environmentally Friendly Shipping Materials:
We are committed to doing our part with regard to environmental stewardship, and to being an environmentally friendly business. Whenever possible, we reuse and recycle our shipping boxes and packing materials.
If a computer is inconvenient, please call us during business hours at 610-933-7200, during business hours, seven days a week, except Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
You can pick up your purchase at our Phoenixville, PA, store location at no extra charge, if you prefer. Select “Store Pickup” at checkout for this option.

30 Day Money Back Guaranty -For a refund in the same form of payment used in your purchase transaction, simply return the item(s) within 30 days of purchase in the original packaging, with all related paperwork, hangtags, and parts, and in clean, re-sellable condition. You will be refunded the cost of shipping and any other related fees if you received the item damaged or defective, or there was an error on our part. Otherwise, shipping and related charges will be deducted from your refund. If your item is returned after 30 days, we will issue and mail you a French Creek Outfitters store credit.
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our Shipping Department at 610-933-7200, as soon as possible, with your order number and item number as listed on your confirmation email. Your purchase will be replaced to you at no charge, once we have received the item back. If the item was damaged in shipping, we will pay the shipping charges. Please follow the Return procedure below, and return the item to us.
Warranty or Repair Claims:
French Creek Outfitters is happy to assist in Lifetime Warranty claims, however, health laws require that all clothing and equipment be in clean condition before being shipped back to the manufacturer. Clothing must be freshly laundered; boots must be clean, odor free and dry. Our staff is not permitted to handle any items in questionable condition. For Limited Warranty items, please contact the manufacturer directly.
No returns or exchanges on food items, books, maps and other publications, canoes and kayaks, Special Orders or Bargain Den items. Please be sure of your purchase decision before placing your order. The only exceptions are: 1) If your merchandise is damaged or defective when you receive it; or 2) Software and electronic media items (cd roms, vhs tapes, gps’ and gps software) can be returned within 30 days of delivery, for a full refund, less shipping, ONLY if the item is unopened. Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed for cash, are not returnable and are not refundable if lost or stolen.
Returns by Mail, UPS or FEDEX: Use the Return/Exchange Form provided in your package.
- Cut out the pre-addressed shipping label. Fill in your address as the as the “From” address. Specify whether you want to return or exchange by checking the appropriate box. Please return the French Creek Packing List with your return, and be sure to include your credit card information.
- Exchanges – indicate which new item you would like by writing the item number located to the right of that item’s picture on our website. Include color and size if necessary.
- Insure the package for its full value and ship via UPS, FEDEX or US Postal Service. We are not responsible for lost packages for returns or exchanges, and we cannot accept COD’s.

If you prefer to return a Web Store purchase to our store, the Invoice you receive with your purchase will serve as your receipt for any return or exchange.
Special Order Service:
If there is an item that we do not stock that you would like to purchase, please inquire by phone (610-933-7200) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org)? Our buyers will do their best to obtain that product for you, and will advise you as to the item’s price and availability. For these items, please be absolutely sure about them prior to placing your order, as they are not returnable or refundable.
If you order a normally stocked item and it is out of stock, we will email you with an estimated ship date, and/or a suggested alternate item. Or, you can call us at 610-933-7200. We will be happy to order the item for you over the phone with a 20% credit card deposit. When you receive your item, should you change your mind, or the item was not what you expected, we will be happy to accept it back for a full refund.
